A weekly roundup of buzzworthy tips, tricks, and topics from the Final Cut Studio community:
- Last month, we talked about the YouTube phenomenon. Seems like Google is making it even easier to climb on board by releasing a new video import, editing and upload application for Mac called Vidnik. It is being offered free for download here and works with the built-in video cameras on new Macs, as well as USB 2 and FireWire cameras.
- Tickets are now on sale for the SF Cutters' next meeting on May 29th, 2008 from 6:30 - 10 pm at Adobe in San Francisco. If you're in town, be sure to check it out to see a demo of Apple's asset management and workflow automation software, Final Cut Server.
- Chesapeake Systems, Inc. features two downloads for purchase from The Chesa Store. The first - FCP Attic 3 - allows you to manipulate Final Cut Pro preferences with the click of a button, while the second - Multiuser Pro - brings Avid-like capabilities to Final Cut Pro. You can receive a price reduction if you pre-order, so don't forget to check out these programs!
