Logical Links of The Week: April 28th, 2008

My alma mater, The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, is working hand in hand with Apple and Sennheiser to give new students a laptop package featuring a new MacBook preloaded with Logic Studio.

PC Publishing and Stephen Bennett have announced Logic Pro 8 Tip and Tricks. The book is out now, and is available thru the PC Publishing website.

Sound on Sound is running a contest called the Dream Studio Giveaway and it will take place at the inaugural SRT show as part of the London International Music Show. The prize pack is insane and features a n 8-Core Mac Pro preloaded with Logic Studio and much more from Apogee, Euphonix, Korg, Roland, and many many more. The only catch, you have to visit the SOS booth to register to win.

And finally...

Last week was the first ever NME Awards USA. At the ceremony, Jane’s Addiction was presented with the Godlike Genius Award, and to really drive the award home, original bassist Eric Avery rejoined the group for the first time in 17 years. Below is a video of the NME show performance of my favorite Jane’s track, and don’t miss Avery’s appearance on Rehearsal Space.
