Logical Links Of The Week: May 12th, 2008

A weekly roundup of hot topics and buzz-worthy conversation from the Logic Studio community:

Fisrt off, some Apple laptop users have been dealing with a lot of issues with audio problems as of late. It seems to be an Airport related issue. Peter over at Create Digital Music has posted some fix instructions, so if you are among the troubled, head on over for some digital relief.

Softpedia is offering up a demo on Finis 1.3.0. A good tool for project studio mastering, Finis allows you to squeeze your finished audio to maximize volume without degradation or distortion.

If you own an M-Audio or Evolution Keyboard, then you can go out right now and get Enigma for free. Containing a library of files for virtual instruments and plugins, Enigma lets you set up your controller ‘in software’ and instantly recall any setting for easy remapping MIDI controls.

For all you podcasters out there, you might look into the new iQuader. The simple and sleek looking stereo USB mic has something that should be included in every USB microphone…an onboard mic pre.

And finally...

For anyone looking to get insight on how to optimize the use of signal processors, I might suggest checking out Craig Anderton’s streaming webinar tomorrow. As Editor for EQ magazine Craig surely knows his stuff, and his mastering webinar was quite successful. Plus McDSP and TC Electronic are giving swag away.

Enjoy this week’s Logical Links and as always if you have a tip on a hot story, drop me an email at logicallinks@magnetmediafilms.com.
