A weekly roundup of hot topics and buzz-worthy conversation from the Logic Studio community:
First off, if you are not already all over the Logic Pro 8.0.1 update, get it now thru Version Tracker. The update addresses some compatibility issues as well as an update to Waveburner.
I want to remind all of you that in conjunction with our Technology Today podcast last week, BandmateLoops.com is offering Zoom In readers a 10% discount coupon to any product on their site. Get the code here.
Monkey Tools has released Sound Grinder Pro 1.0 for digital purchase. This integrated waveform editor and batch processor allows you process waveform edits, plug-ins, format encoding, even metadata edits for multiple clips, all inside a single tool.
Presonus has released drivers for Logic Pro and Logic Express versions 7 or later for the FaderPort. The official release includes mix, edit, transport and automation functions.
In the Logic Pro Users Group world, there are a couple things to make known. Fisrt off, the Seattle group is meeting up May 7th. They picked up some new sponsors for the group, so look out for great give-aways at that one.
Also the New York group is planning a meeting for early June and is looking for presenters. If you are interested in sharing your favorite tip or trick, contact Jonathan Perl.
And finally...
Noted Logic Pro user Trent Reznor is at is again, this time giving us The Slip…literally. Wired has the story of the newest Nine Inch Nails offering. Not only is it absolutely free this time around, it is available in file formats up to 96kHz WAV files. Better sound quality and cheaper than a CD??? I bet the industry loves this one.
