STAY TUNED: I am in the process of putting together an interview with Orren Merton, musician, author, consultant, and pro-audio guru - who is currently in Annaheim, CA, at the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) conference, and will provide a first hand look at what's going on on the floor at this year's show.
Orren Merton has been a computer musician since his days in U.C. Berkeley in 1988, and has been writing in the professional audio field for nearly 10 years. He has done technical writing for Emagic Soft- und Hardware GmbH, and writes for numerous American and British pro audio magazines, including a monthly column on Sequencer News in Computer Music (UK). He has a master's degree in English from California State University, Long Beach. In between writing and consulting in the pro audio and computer music fields, he also helps moderate the Logic User Group, an online community of over 23,000 Logic users.
Check back this weekend on Zoom-In Online for my on-the-spot interview with Orren Merton from NAMM 2007 and get the scoop on the latest and greatest announcements from this annual musician-and-gear-head's summit.
