I am honored to present you with a Zoom In Online exclusive!

My band and I just made a recording of six great old cover tunes (stuff like Beatles, Dead, CSN, The Band), and they came out pretty sweet! The reason we recorded these songs was that we performed at a showcase this past Thursday where we were presented to hundreds of representatives from town arts commissions, and town parks and rec departments, who are all shopping for the acts they will be booking this year for concerts-on-the-green, festivals, and other spring, summer and fall events. We felt like an EP of great cover tunes would be a good way to bridge those town reps to LFD. We do about 60% original material in our live sets, and that material is not usually represented on our studio CD's - which are about 90% original.

We recorded it into my fiddle player Tom's Korg 16 track D1600 deck, and then he burned me WAV files of the tracks which I took into Logic Express and did the mix. I'm on bass and backup vocals. We call the collection "Cover Stories" - sort of a companion title to our full length CD "True Tales" which is available on iTunes music store. We haven't yet even made these available on our website, but get them while you can! Feel free to post your "Review" of the EP as a comment. Love to hear back from you.
