Well, it happened! My blog post linking to Rick Young's walk-through of creating Hi-Def DVD-5s has made it onto the front page of the technology section on Digg.com and the influx of new visitors is mounting. It's #6 in the technology top ten now. Cool! Thanks diggers!
You can read my introductory post for a little backstory and to learn a bit more about me and where I'm coming from.
Welcome to Zoom In! We hope you like the place and decide to stay a while! Seriously, I really appreciate you all coming over. I've only been here a short while, but I'm already having a blast! Please check out some of myrecent posts while you're here.
Zoom In Online is a wealth of perspectives, information, links, resources, and inspiration for creative professionals of all stripes and inclinations. I used to read the site all the time before I started writing for it. I first got involved with the folks at Zoom In when I created a couple of software training DVD titles for Magnet Media, Zoom In Online's parent company (I am the instructor for the DMTS titles Inside Mac OS X: 10.4 Tiger and Inside iLife '06), and this past January, they asked me to blog for Zoom In while I was at Mac World in San Francisco. We were the first site to break video of a walkthrough I did on one of the floor displays of Apple TV less than 24 hours after Jobs' keynote.
Blogging Mac World was a blast, and I think we all really enjoyed working and posting together. About a month ago, I was invited to be the daily tech blogger for the site, and I'm nearing the end of my second week of daily posts, and I am having a great time doing it. I hope you like what we've put together here!
Zoom In Has Something for Everyone
Featuring news, events, a blog, how-tos, podcasts, vidcasts, and all sorts of creative content in the wide open media creation space, Zoom In Online really has it all. Recently, we had extensive exclusive coverage of Sundance 2007 by Annie Frisbie, Megan Cunningham and Reid Rosefelt and just a few days ago on the blog, Annie collected her inspiring series of posts on Screenwriting all in one place for easy reading. This is just scratching the surface. From Video Games to Photography - from Film and TV to Apple and the Internet, from Music to Editing and from Motion Graphics to Web Design, if you're involved in any way with the creative media space you'll no doubt be into what we have going on here. I'm here to tell you this is just the beginning!
Once again, thanks for coming by, thanks for digging the post, and we'd love it if you'd subscribe and visit us again! Please feel free to leave a comment. Suggestions are always welcomed, we'd love to hear from you. Cheers, and see you around!
