Adobe Launches CS3, Offers Previews of Video Apps

Adobe announced yesterday that CS3 is shipping - which is sooner than most people were predicting (many were assuming it would be April 20th, which is what Amazon let slip last month). Todd has covered CS3 in great detail already (here, here, & here for more info). In addition to the suites they are offering, stand alone versions are available for:

Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended
Adobe InDesign® CS3
Adobe Illustrator® CS3
Adobe Flash® CS3 Professional
Adobe Dreamweaver® CS3
Adobe Fireworks® CS3
Adobe Contribute® CS3

All suites and stand alone apps are available both for PC and Mac users (both Power PC users and Intel users alike).

In addition to the Design & Web suites shipping, Adobe also made available public beta version of both After Effects & Premiere Pro CS3. This is the first time Premiere has been available on the Macintosh since 2003, when it was decided rewriting it for OSX would be unprofitable for the company. Want to check out the pre-releases? Head on over to the Adobe Labs. There are several thing that will not be active in the pre-release, however it will be a good chance for everyone to test out the new versions.
