Lights Camera Apple

The biggest reason I am completely psyched to be in Las Vegas right now (and there are many other reasons, they just start stacking rank right under this one) is what tomorrow brings. It's Apple's big morning to-do: The Lights Camera Apple NAB Keynote. With the NAB conference being the world's largest electronic and media show, the big announcements are likely to be in the video/audio production space, and will be things that will please and delight the many thousands of conference attendees.

Rumors and speculation are flying around at the bars, dinner tables, and taxi queues of this all too well-lit party town, and if even a portion of them end up coming to pass, then I'm here to tell you we're in for quite a ride in the morning. The keynote is at 11:00 pacific time, at the Venetian Resort, and I will be hearing and seeing all the new stuff first hand. Woot! For a tech creative freak like me... it's like Christmas. It's kinda why I'm up blogging and not sleeping right now. With nothing to report until tomorrow, I'll leave you with a little bit of my jazzy feeling, and maybe you can catch a few winks for me.

Megan Cunningham and I will be covering the big announcements from the much-hyped media event here on the Zoom In blog, as well as in the form of audio and video podcast interviews that we will be making available the very second we can post them. Keep this page up and pop a friendly "refresh" now and then throughout the afternoon Sunday and you'll be among the first to hear what's up.

What are some of your expectations and hopes for what will be coming out of Las Vegas? As always, I'm sure we can expect Cupertino to change the creative tech landscape with more innovation, pioneering and well, just continuing to get it right.

With the announcements of the iPhone and Apple TV at Mac World, and the recent release of the 8-core Mac Pros, and Apple's announcement that Leopard will be delayed till October, I feel like what we MUST be hearing about tomorrow will be in the software universe, but I have a feeling there may be something very unexpected as well. My hopes are high, and the Pharaoh's Feast breakfast buffet comes early, so I'll leave you with one more thought - it's the only one we really have to go on... the event has been promoted with the simple phrase "Lights Camera Apple."

What does it all mean!?

See you at the Venetian after waffles.
