Archives: Hunting for Treasure

As previously mentioned, I do a lot of Time For Print (TFP) work with new models. Very often, I only really process and upload the photos, I am going to give my model and then I move on. If I don't have too many new shoots set up or I am feeling extra inspired, I might process more, but even then, I leave a large number of photos untouched. A lot of those are garbage, obviously, but not all of them.

I just went through four old shoots, including two really big ones, and found over 50 new images, that at least compositionally and lighting-wise are usable for my stock portfolio. Some might not be sharp enough, or there could be other technical issues, that won't reveal themselves until I look at them at 100%, but I am counting on at least two thirds of these being good to go.

Of course, processing old files is not as much fun as shooting new photos, but the end result is like a nice bonus, so living with a bit of boredom while I process these newly found treasures from the archive, will be survivable. I go back and check my archives every 5-6 months, and I am surprised by what I find every single time.
