Overview: Logitech recently announced the release of it's Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard for the Mac. Dubbed by the company as the world's most advanced keyboard, expectations for the particular product are very high. Does it stand up to it's expectations? Learn more below.

Pros:

• Similar to recent Logitech products, the keyboard ships in unique and stylish packaging. Starting from the keyboard feedback to the ergonomics of the device, the quality of the device is outstanding.
• The keyboard is fairly easy to setup -- provided you have a Bluetooth enabled Mac, as the keyboard connects via Bluetooth. This means, no extra USB dongles, which is especially useful if you're using an Apple laptop.
• Trackpad like functionality located on the keyboard may help laptop users. Logitech calls this technology TouchDisc and the response settings can be defined via the Logitech Control Center.
• Installing the Logitech Control Center software also provides users with additional application shortcuts. However, without installing the software, the keyboard can still duplicate the settings of the Apple remote, including volume controls and media seek buttons.
• The keyboard does not require additional batteries. After using your keyboard, simply plug it into the provided keyboard dock and it charges automatically. This process elimiates the use and purchase of additional batteries found in traditional wireless keyboards.

Cons:

• The keyboard does not provide any backlighting controls, which may hinder performance in low-light situations.
• Given the size of the keyboard, this device lacks a numeric pad.

Conclusion:

The keyboard is feature packed and can assist with reducing the time-frame of numerous tasks. Avilable in the next few weeks, this keyboard should be a serious consideration for multi-taskers. Is it the world's most advanced keyboard? Although there are numerous competitors on the Windows side that have similar functionality, this product is certainly the most advanced keyboard for the Mac.
