Saving My Inspiration

But, first thing's first...an introduction of sorts. Hello. I'm Ryan Myers . I'm a freelance designer living in the metro Detroit area and was given a kind invitation from Zoom-In to contribute to the design blog. It's an honor to be asked to share with you what I find to be inspiring, interesting, and educational.

That being said, hopefully this first post holds up to this promise. When I used to find inspiring stuff on the web, it'd get saved into folders on my computer that I would loose track of and eventually trash. Now, thanks to ImageSpark, I can save, catalog and keyword inspiration I pull from the web. Granted, it stays on the web, but is way better of a system to refer back to than unorganized folders on my computer. What is also unique, is that you can browse other user's accounts to tag imagery, view your own collection by keyword and create moodboards. It integrates with FireFox, but also has a supplemental upload app so you can save screenshots, or images directly from your computer.

While I'm on the subject of browser plugins Cool Iris is great for browsing online content such as Flickr, YouTube, Google Images or FFFFOUND. I'll curb my attempt to explain how cool this little plugin is, just check it out for yourself!
