There are many parks in New York City but none are quite like the brand new High Line. The park is built on a defunct railway and is located on Manhattan's West Side. It runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to 34th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues. There are three sections of the High Line; the first opened to the public on June 9.

The new park is not enclosed the way most others are, offering pedestrians an interesting perspective on the city. Walking the length of the High Line, strollers can enjoy a pleasant harmony between nature, buildings, and fast-paced NYC streets.
