The Royal College of Art, in the UK, recently had a graduate show that featured an innovative creation by Min-Kyu Choi.

Min-Kyu Choi improved upon the design of the UK plug, changing the thickness to 10mm, that of a MacBook Air computer. "The MacBook Air is the world's thinnest laptop ever. However, here in the UK, we still use the world's biggest three-pin plug," says Choi - not anymore. The invention is both innovotive and market-ready.
Choi's plug is just 10mm wide when it is folded. To unfold it, the two live pins swivel 90 degrees, and the plastic surround folds back around the pins so the face of the plug looks the same as a standard UK plug.

This improvement is almost so obvious it seems ludicrous that is has taken this long for it to come to fruition; nonetheless, it is a very exciting week for European outlets!
