My favorite blog (besides Zoom In), Design Trendsetter, consistently finds the most innovative and awesome designs to share with its audience; true to form, I found this today while searching their website:

What you are looking at (above) is the internal workings of a ball that turns human energy into kinetic energy causing it to light up, with built-in power charging equipment so it stays juiced.

Designer Yoonsang Kim calls it the Light Ball. The Light Ball's three cylinders generate electricity when impacted (kicked, hit, etc.), see below!
