We here at Zoom In Online realize that you probably spend so much time perusing our site that you may occasionally look up from your web browsing and notice that multiple days have passed. We appreciate that. While we can't make up for your lost days of work or missing your spouse's/friend's/relative's/child's birthday, we can update you on what you're missing in the outside world - what DVDs are being released, for instance. Check Zoom In Online every Tuesday to keep tabs on all the DVD and Blu-ray releases for the week.

Significant Titles Include:
Land of the Lost: Will Ferrell acting irrational and borderline delirious, Anna Friel acting smart and sexy and Danny McBride acting like, well, Danny McBride. Let's also not forget the space-time vortex, the primate named "Chaka," the dinosaur dubbed "Grumpy" and the Matt Lauer cameo to legitimize it all. Right. Well, this film supposedly got a bunch of people fired over at Universal, but perhaps it'll prove to be "laugh out loud funny" in your house. DVD special features include deleted scenes, "A Day in the Life of a Big-Time Movie Star," and Devil's Canyon Gift Shop Commercial and Tour. With the Blu-ray version, you'll get all that plus Dr. Marshall's Food Diaries with Commentary by Director Brad Silberling, "This is Not a Routine Expedition: Making Land of the Lost, feature commentary from Silberling and "Bradley, Sid and Marty: A Conversation with the Krofft's."
Format: DVD and Blu-ray
Adoration: If you're looking for something slightly more meditative than Land of the Lost, look no further than Adoration. This film, written and directed by two-time Academy Award nominee Atom Egoyan (The Sweet Hereafter), was nominated for the Golden Palm Award at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, and won for Best Canadian Feature Film at the 2008 Toronto International Festival. It follows high school student Simon, played by Devon Bostick, as he unveils the truth behind his hazy family history. The story is told through a non-linear mixture of memories and metaphors via a news article read by his French teacher about terrorism. Simon ends up translating the story from class, weaving in his parents' past and eventually broadcasting the entire thing online. Fact and fiction intertwine beautifully in this film as Simon deals with a world-wide response that will change his idea of family forever. Look for deleted scenes, an interview with Atom Egoyan and a few featurettes on the DVD's special features section.
Format: DVD and Blu-ray
Stop Making Sense: In this early '80s concert film/documentary directed by Jonathan Demme, the Talking Heads don't do a whole lot of talking, but they certainly do make sense. Beginning with merely a bare stage and a guitar, lead singer David Byrne enters and says only, "I want to play a tape." What follows is about an hour and a half of pure, unadulterated Talking Heads madness as big suits, children's drawings and random guest performers sporadically appear onstage throughout the 18-song extravaganza. Whether you're a fan of the group or of 80's New Wave in general, watch this film for its unique look at the physicality of music in all its forms. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the movie has been remastered from the original 35mm interpositive into 1.85:1 1080p video. Additional special features include a couple songs not featured in the original cut, a never-before-seen press conference offstage featuring all four members, an extended interview with David Byrne and a storyboard/staging comparison.
Format: Blu-ray
Drag Me To Hell: From Director Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead, Army of Darkness) comes this thrilling tale about a woman irreversibly damned to Hell. Alison Lohman plays Christine, a loan officer who must prove to her boss that she's capable of making tough decisions before her pending promotion is set in stone. As a result, she denies an old gypsy a much needed extension on her mortgage and as (not exactly equal) payback, the woman curses her to Hell. Christine is then tormented by an evil spirit before coming up with an ostensibly flawless plan to eliminate the demon once and for all. The only problem is, she doesn't...Special features on the DVD include the Unrated Director's Cut and Theatrical Version as well as Production Video Diaries. On Blu-ray, also expect Video Rotation and On-Screen Ticker as well as a digital copy of the movie for your ipod, Mac or PC.
Format: DVD and Blu-ray
