While all you cinephiles out there may be satisfied with our extensive coverage of the world of cinema, we at Zoom In Online realize the television fans out there may be filling unfulfilled. Because we at Zoom In Online are your friends, we want to remedy the situation by giving you "What to Watch," a daily blog about what show airing each night on television will be most worth your time, effort, and hard drive space on your DVR or TiVo. As we've been doing with our film coverage, we hope to inform you and guide you towards making the right choice because, like I said, we're friends and we're not sure what else to get you since we haven't yet received an invitation to your birthday party.

Friday Night Lights
Episode 3.7, "Keeping Up Appearances"
Airing at 9 p.m. on NBC
Friday Night Lights is a TV show based on a movie and typically (Blade: The Series, Clerks: The Animated Series, Ferris Bueller, Clueless) that doesn't bode well for the series. FNL has suffered the Arrested Development syndrome over its short lifetime in which the show is critically praised, but has fluctuated between airing and cancellation because of low viewership. The fact that it delves into the niche of the cult of football and that it airs on Friday evenings probably doesn't help its case too much, but with an Emmy Award, Television Critics Association Award, 3 WGA nominations and 1 SAG nomination in just under 3 seasons, they've got to be doing something right.
This week, FNL fan favorites Jason Street and Tim Riggins sell their house. Meanwhile, according to AOL Television, "a chance meeting with a former Panther who's NFL-bound gives Jason an idea for a new career: professional sports agent. Not to ruin anything for viewers who've carefully avoided spoilers from the show's DirecTV airings, but Mr. Street is about to embark on a new adventure that will reunite him with family, even if it means leaving other loved ones behind."
For the science-fiction fans
Dollhouse, created by fanboy demigod Joss Whedon, airs at 9 p.m. (well, technically 9:01 p.m.) on FOX and features Eliza Dushku demonstrating her singing and dancing chops. If Buffy can do it, why not her?
