Matt Groening, Two-Time ATP Curator. Wait, What?!

This blog post was submitted by Max Willens, ZIO's Music Channel Assistant.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of All Tomorrow's Parties, the venerated music festival is bringing back an old, unlikely friend: Matt Groening.

The Simpsons creator, who is sharing curating duties with the recently reunited Pavement, is the first person to helm ATP twice, and he one of the only non-musicians ever invited to curate it at all; excluding some fan-voted lineups, the only other time this happened at ATP was in 2004, when English conceptual artists Jake and Dinos Chapman put on a heavy, heavy spectacle entitled A Nightmare Before Christmas.

Despite the largely mainstream musical bent of his show, Groening assembled a tasteful collection of indie rock legends and stars for the now-defunct ATP/Pacific back in 2003, and even though there have been no announcements yet of who (or what) is on Groening's list, trusting fans can buy their tickets tomorrow here.
