Hailing from North London, Man Like Me display a unique electro-pop-funk-rap (and more!) sound that is lyrically quirky to a danceable beat. Currently Jonny Langer, Peter Duffy, and Jerome Trombone are bringing the 'best damn live act you are ever likely to see' all around Europe. Their latest album, titled Man Like Me, was released in May of 2009.

1. What music was played in your home while you were growing up?

My dad's a music producer so it was generally who ever he was working with at the time. But mostly I remember Trickys album, Maximquaye. Unfortunately he didn't work with him.

2. Who is the best artist we have probably never heard of?

I used to say Micachu and the golden silvers but now they are pretty big. I would say a song called buttercup by a band called Brad.

3. What is your favorite song lyric?

"Now you wanna  know the reason why I cheated on you, well I had to be a hunter again" - Tim Buckley, Sweet Surrender.

4. What song do you want played at your funeral?

Bob Marley, Johnny was a good man.

5. What is your favorite b-side?

Its gotta be "A men, brother" by The Winstons, purely for the drum break half way through, which brought about so many songs that I love.

6. Which medium do you prefer: vinyl, cd, or download?

It's a controversial choice as I would have expected to say vinyl, but im gonna go for cd as its less hassle and usually in better condition than most of my records

7. Which artist would your fans be surprised to find out you like?

I recently bought "be alone no more" by another level. enough said !

8. What musician would you choose to cover one of your songs?

Kid Creole and the coconuts, I think they would do a sterling job !

9.  Who is the most overrated artist?

Muse. How can they sell out wembley stadium ? To me they are like a bad radiohead tribute band.

10. What musician or band do you wish you'd seen play live in their prime?

Its gotta be Michael Jackson performing thriller. From what I have seen on TV no one has come close to that man.

11. What non-musical influences do you have?

I'm a keen collector of vintage television sets. I have about 11 at the moment.
