The Selfish Blogger

With sites like Flickr and Facebook, where you can share your photos with an already established community, you might wonder why anyone would want to set up an actual photo blog. Nevertheless, that is what I recently did, and I did it for completely selfish reasons.
It's great to get exposure, comments and all that good stuff, but the real reason I set up a blog, is so I'd have a separate online showroom for select, individual images. Not chosen for their masterful lighting, brilliant post processing or any other reason, other than the fact that I want to post it separately. Images that are part of a challenge, are also posted there.
More than anything, it's a playground. I don't want the images mixed in with all my regular snapshots and most are not meant for my stock portfolio, so in a way, the photo blog is like a little gallery of bastards. Which is exactly what I want.
So yes, I've set up a photo blog for completely selfish reasons. You're welcome to follow it of course, and I do appreciate feedback, but even if it stays as anonymous as it is now, I'll still keep posting to it.
