It's the week of the Expo and all through the town, every photographer is scrambling to write events down. Along came a blog that said nothing to fear, we will let you know what's happening while the event looms near.
PhotoPlus Expo is the photography event of the year. Everyone has something to learn, whether you are a seasoned professional or a newcomer. From October 22nd- 24th, the Jacob Javits Center in New York City is the place to be.A few of this year's keynote speakers include Harry Benson, Chris Dougherty and Nigel Parry.

By now many people have their game plan for Expo events. Workshops are paid for, and the master list of vendors has been studied. There are probably still debates raging about how many classes you can afford and if it is better to just wing it rather than try to hit specific booths.
Event sponsor, Photo District News (PDN) has done everything in their power to let you know the timetable of keynote speakers and workshops. They even a searchable directory to help find your favorite gallery, artist or lens manufacturer.
While the sheer magnitude of thousands of people flocking to experience countless events may seem overwhelming, there is no way to go wrong with PPE.
Here are a couple PhotoPlus events in particular that caught my attention.
The Aperture Foundation has a few books signings through out the weekend. One cool book to pick up and get signed is Paolo Ventura's Winter Stories. It follows depicts the reflections on life of a fictional circus performer. Your can get your copy autographed Thursday, October 22nd at 1:30pm.

Veteran Playboy photographer David Mecey has a live glamor shoot during which he will share his photography insights. Sponsored by Bron Imaging, it is at 5pm on Friday Oct 23rd, during a party at Skyline on 36th st. Just RSVP before hand and you are in.
