See my post from earlier today for a play-by-play of the agony. But hey, it's not even 5pm eastern yet on the day of launch... and I'm watching MLB plays on my first-gen iPhone with a couple App Store offerings running perfectly. This morning was a major pain, seeing as I needed my phone for more than a coffee cup coaster today and could not use it at all (my own fault for trying to update to 2.0 manually), but things seem to be back on track now. Let's see how the news cycle runs its course. Unfortunately a launch like this has created some bad press for Jobs & co... who knows, maybe they'll toss in one free regularly prices app store download for everyone as an "oops, sorry." I'm not saying they should, but I'd take one if they did.
Kudos to Apple for getting on top of the problem right away though, there must have been some rolling heads and up-and-comers stepping up to the plate today. Now THAT'S some reality TV I'd watch. Did anyone have documentary cameras running at 1 Infinite Loop today? Wouldn't that be something to see?
