Cat in the Hat and the Twitter

My co-worker Matt described this in the best fashion ever and I would shame myself to even try, here's what he said:

Touche, Mr. Jobs

I want to make it clear that despite how many times I have posted about iPhone accessories and/or applications, I do not own one.

In fact, I have never really wanted one because that would require me to switch carriers and that isn't happening any time soon (yay family plans!).  However, after today I must bow my head in defeat.

I want an iPhone, desperately.

Know Where Your Tax Money Goes | Hint: Away

Taxes are due in a week and if you are like me, you like waiting until the very last minute to do, well everything.

So as you turbo your taxes or wait obscene hours in the H&R Block line, here's an incredibly well-designed chart that let's you know exactly exactly your tax dollars go after they leave the security of your bank account (or that shoe box under your bed depending on your faith in the US banking system).

Yo, My Phone's So Sick I Want It to Look Like It's Dying

Nothing's better than mocking everyone else's inferior technological devices by masking your iPhone with a photo of the kind of cell phones those plebs use.

zweiPhone has created stickers that you can place on the back of your iPhone so that it reminds you of the days when you had to use a (gasp) Nokia.

CS4 Crib Sheet: You Ain't Artsier Than Me | Coloring Black and White Photos

Coloring a black and white photo in Photoshop is fairly easy. All that really matters is the look you're going for and how steady your hand.

Begin with an ordinary black and white photo. Make sure that before you begin you change the mode (in drop down menu) to RGB Color. If you don't you will not be able to change the color of your selection later down the line.

Planting The Seed

Johnny Appleseed would be proud.

Another Johnny, Johnny Kelly, and a group of incredibly hard-working designers created a stop-motion video following the life of an apple seed. Using CS4 for both the 2D graphics and the papercraft stop-motion, the video turned out totally sick.

See below for the finished product, as well as the behind-the-scenes footage.

Adobe TV | Live The Suite Life with CS4 Illustrator

Rufus is at it again, this time with a tutorial that showcases Illustrator's new ability to recoginze like graphics and text and change them all accordingly in one easy step.

And if that's not enough to get you to watch, Rufus says "adobe-cadabra" around the two-minute mark.

Little Red Riding Hood | Retold

A very cool animation that retells the story of that preciously naive Little Red Riding Hood.

Photoshop and Illustrator Magnets | Totally Ridiculous (Just the Way I Like It)

There's not much to say about this except for THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY RAD...and almost sold out.

All that's available are the magnet kits (both Photoshop and Illustrator), but the sets that include the magnetic photo board that resembles a template are gone.

CS4 Crib Sheet: Lady and the Stamp (Tool)

The "stamp tool" is an incredibly easy way to recreate an image time and time again. Adobe Illustrator, makes it even easier to manipulate these recreations with the use of the many symbol options, which we'll look at later.

But for now, let's start at the basics. First decide which image you'd like to re-create. For our sake, and the sake of my lack of creativity, let's say you needed to fashion together a school of fish.

Wake n' Bacon... 'Nuff Said

Nowadays my weekend mornings begin with the wafting smell of stale beer as it stagnantly sits in our shoebox of an apartment, but back in the before time, the long-long ago I lived in luxury... at casa de Mom and Dad.

I remember awaking to the smell of breakfast coming from downstairs, the Sunday comics and that zany Kimmy Gibbler and her crazy antics (wait... what?) Well now this sentimentality can be achieved again with the new Wake n' Bacon.
