-As demonstrated by the Cartoonr plugin blog entry, NewBlueFX has officially entered the Mac market with visual effects for Final Cut Pro. Digital Production Buzz says "users of this popular video editing software for Intel-based Apple Macintosh computers can now enjoy 893 presets and 71 effects plug-ins encompassed in 7 distinct and competitively-priced NewBlueFX plug-in collections, designed to enhance the video editing experience."

-The lovely people over at Mac OSX Hints just want to make your life easier - that's why they made this little tip on how to get properly-sorted sub-clips in Final Cut Pro.

-Read about Mexican-based Televisa - the major distributor of Olympic content for Mexico and the largest media company in the Spanish-speaking world - that sent a team of more than 200 people, including broadcast talent, engineers, editors, camera operators, and logistics personnel to Beijing to create their own end-to-end television station (including two live studios) using Final Cut Studio and Xsan technology.
