Photography Show Review: "Night Moves" Lights Up Brooklyn

For me, the phrase "night photography" conjures up long-exposure shots that evoke a sort of quiet mood. However, the group show "Night Moves," currently hanging in Brooklyn, is, as a whole, kinetic and lively, making the show's title quite apt. "Night Moves" is as much about capturing the movements of night as it is about a shift in perception of what night photography can be.

This week's astounding news photo comes via the Wall Street Journal's awesome "Pictures of the Day" blog. Their caption reads, "Employees hit Clairoix Continental factory Director Louis Forzy with eggs as he delivered a speech in Clairoix, France, Thursday, the day after the car-parts company announced it would cut nearly 2,000 jobs." Wow.

One great way to quickly find people who are talking about a particular topic of interest is to use the Twitter search function. I typed in "photojournalism" to get the latest on new projects and people I hadn't yet heard of within the community.
