Content Creators Guild Provides Independent Community to Artists and Vendors
May 01, 2008. Beaverton, Oregon. The supporting members of Content Creator's Guild announces its grand opening and availability to independent artists, content creators, designers and developers.
Content Creator's Guild (CCG) is a free portal and community site for artists to learn about new, licensable content products from independent vendors. CCG offers members community features such as CCG MyPage. An artist can upload their own works - videos, music and pictures, or display content from FlickrT or YouTube T.
CCG allows independent vendors and artists to promote and display music, 2D content and 3D content that they want to make available to other artists.
Some examples include 3D models usable in Smith Micro's Poser 3D (http://graphics.smithmicro.com/), Daz Production's Daz|Studio, or e-on software's Vue 3D natural scenery product.
Since the release of Poser, several brokerage sites, such as Renderosity, Daz 3D and Content Paradise have appeared and offered brokerage services to developers and designers who license their content that is compatible with Poser and other products. The combined size of these brokerage run communities run in the millions of users.
CCG provides an independent, volunteer run community that is not bound to a brokerage. It allows CCG Independent Vendors to market directly to artists, designers and developers. This avoids conflicts of interest related to independent vendor relations with large brokerages.
Two software vendors also have openly endorsed the CCG community and
initiative: e-on software and Mirye Software.

e-on software gives open support for CCG independent vendors to promote their products on the Cornucopia 3D forum Store Talk. So long as the announced product is compatible with Vue, it can be announced freely on Store Talk without being a member a Cornucopia 3D vendor.
e-on software is also offering a time limited special offer on its flagship product to CCG independent vendors that sign up to the Cornucopia 3D brokerage.
Mirye Software Publishing, publishers of multimedia development tool Runtime Revolution, also announces financial and material support for the new community.
