Technology Today: Frontline's iWitness
Frontline has received two Webby People's Voice Awards for Best Online Documentary Series and Best Individual Episode in a News & Politics Series. Guest host Andy Beach interviewed Joe Rubin, producer, curator and host of Frontline/World's iWitness, their new series which airs on the web. He shows how new technologies are used to connect people from around globe and help them report events often missed by mainstream media, including a reporter from the virtual world Second Life. He also explains the basic premise of the series, how technology is used for its realization, and the ultimate impact it has made.
