Zoom In Online’s Matthew Hendershot visited the 123rd AES convention for a conversation with Francois Quereuil of DigiDesign. The two discuss recent hardware and software advancements coming out of DigiDesign, including additions to Icon and Venue, their flagship consoles. Icon, a premium mixing board used by the biggest engineers in the game (and their deep pocketed producers), has been integrated with ProTools 7.4, elevating it to an even greater level of flexibility for use in the professional studio. Venue, a digital console for live sound production also utilizes the ProTools upgrade to enable on-the-fly mixing concurrently with recording for live events.
