Steve Bayes

Steve has been editing, training and designing editing products for 25 years. Steve is currently the Director of Product Marketing for Media 100 and before that he was a consultant, writer and instructor specializing in products for video, film and HD. He has produced and authored training DVD’s for Desktop Images, Avid, Boris FX, Media 100 and his own company artFXual.

For 7 years Steve Bayes was the Principal Product Designer for Media Composer, Symphony and Nitris at Avid Technology. He is the author of the “The Avid Handbook” which is currently in the 4th edition. Steve also spent two years as Senior Instructor for Avid Educational Services, teaching Avid to both students and instructors in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He developed the Avid Master Editor Workshop and classes for User Groups and Post Production World 2004 and 2005. Previously, Steve was Senior Editor at several post production companies in Boston, Massachusetts and edited in the New England market for ten years.
