Zoom In Online continues Pursuit of Design, a multipart series on Compostmodern 08, an interdisciplinary design conference that explores the ways design and business can blend through the lens of sustainability. This episode features Mark Galbraith, VP of Design at NAU. Unlike other outdoor clothing stores that use high-tech (and environmentally destructive) fabrics, NAU creates clothes that reflect the notion of sustainability. Mark explains how he became involved with the company, why optimism should be seen as a political act and breaks down the idea that consumers must buy something new every year.
